Whales can be seen any time of the year on the West Coast. Humpback, Southern Right, Sperm Whales, Orca, Long fin pilot whale and many more species has been spotted of our coast

Southern Right Whales migrate annually from the Sub-Antarctic regions to calve and mate in South African waters predominantly during the months June to November and are often sighted of the West Coast.  Humpback whales and the endemic Heavyside dolphin also visit our cozy bays.

Whales are frequently spotted at Paternoster (Cell: 0829262267) in the Yzerfontein harbour (Tel: 022 451 2366) and in St. Helena Bay (Tel: 022 783 1821)
