“Evita se Perron” is a lively
place to meet, eat, drink and talk. It
is from here that Mrs Evita Bezuidenhout, the most famous white woman in South
Africa, keeps an eye on the progress of democracy.
She is the hostess and entertains in her own inimitable style. The facilities at the Perron include Tannie Evita’s Pantry
(restaurant) open from Tuesday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch, serving
traditional South African fare. Dinner
is served when there are shows or for pre-booked corporate or special occasion
functions. Our intimate conference room – the original station; building –
seats 25 delegates comfortable, with all the latest equipment for computer
presentations.
Evita’s A & C (Arts and Crafts) features mainly West Coast and Swartland Crafts and also regular art exhibitions in the Elsie ?Balt Art Gallery. A new Extension is the art garden – including Boerassic Park which was inspired by the contrete garden in Nieu Bethesda. Michaelis Art school created the ultimate Gravy Train and the The Groot Trek Oomblik was sculptured by art students from the Stellenbosch University. The A en C also has a book section with a cross selection of fact, fiction and collector’s editions – South Africa and Africa being the dominant theme. Open Tues to Sun 09h30 to 17h00
